Friendly Fires
Friendly Fires seem to be real chummy with Lykke Li, with photos of them together popping up all over.
That isn’t important though, unless they are sexing up each others brains.
They decided that they should cover Lykke’s song and make the world want more of them.

Its a month away from Christmas and while the streets are all lighted up and ready for the festive season, the musical genius of Goldfrapp kicks in and and she does her part.

Florence And The Machine was the breakout act for this years(2008) SXSW festival.
Yeah, that was way back but she still deserves some attention here with a voice like that.

The Whitest Boy Alive have dropped a spanking new track on us called “Island” which is off their upcoming album ‘Rules“, slated to be released in March 09′.
Having watched their incredible live performance a few months back, we wanted more and this was just the thing we needed.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs to release ITS BLITZ
The photo above is the album artwork for Yeah Yeah Yeahs latest album ITS BLITZ!, slated to be released in mid April with different dates for each country:
Australia : 10 April
UK: 13 April
US: 12 April
MAD YYY COVERS AFTER THE JUMP.
The band worked with pretty much the same people for this album, David Sitek (TV on The Radio’s fame and did YYY’s last 2 albums), and Nick Launay (Lou Reed, upcoming Johnny Rottens new album and YYY’s 07′ Is Is EP).
This 10 track LP is said to be recorded over rural locations and extreme weather conditions all over America.
There would be guest appearances by members from TV On The Radio and The Bird And The Bee for this album.
So April it is once again.

Arcade Fire did a cover version of “maps” a couple of years back and has become sort of a vintage treasure, but Rogue Wave comes along and does a cover as good as solid gold.
Baron Von Luxxury also injects electronica into YYY’s veins for a surprisingly awesome result.
